Dr. Nidia De Jesus was born in San Francisco de Macoris, in the Dominican Republic. At age 8, she came to New York City to join the rest of her family as they pursued their American dream and worked hard to ensure their children had a better life. Dr. De Jesus attended High School of Fashion Industries and graduated as Valedictorian in 1995. She went on to Skidmore College, New York, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1999, graduating Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in Biology and as a Periclean Scholar, where she studied aboard at King’s College in London, United Kingdom.
Dr. De Jesus next attended Stony Brook University, New York, where she received her PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology in 2007 and then a Medical Degree in 2009. A five-year General Surgery Residency followed at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York, where she was selected as Chief Resident in General Surgery from 2013 to 2014. Dr. De Jesus continued her medical education with a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Florida, which she completed in 2017.
Dr. De Jesus is very grateful to have discovered a specialty that combines her interest in medicine, science, and art, and is looking forward to honoring the sacrifices her parents made by realizing her American dream as a skilled, compassionate and committed plastic surgeon.
Solano Plastic Surgery is very proud to have Dr. De Jesus join our team where she can make a strong impact on her patients as individuals and our greater Vacaville and Napa communities.
