Tummy Tuck

An abdominoplasty or “tummy tuck” is a surgical procedure that is designed to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen. It is usually, but not always, combined with a tightening of the muscles of the abdominal wall. This results in permanent removal of skin and fat with a resultant scar of the lower abdomen. Stretch mark below the belly button can be removed.

The best candidate for a tummy tuck is a patient with has loose skin and some fat in the lower abdomen who has deposits that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is also useful to correct the changes left after pregnancy.
